Thank you for reporting this.

Trying it out. This 'advanced' menu is not one of those offered by a standard Mate installation; had to install it:
- mate-menu-18.04.3-1.mga7.noarch
- mozo-1.22.1-1.mga7.noarch
- python-configobj-5.0.6-4.mga7.noarch
- python2-setproctitle-1.1.10-6.mga7.x86_64
- python2-xlib-0.23-3.mga7.noarch
"An advanced menu for MATE. Supports filtering, favourites, auto-session, and many other features." Confusingly called just 'mate-menu'.

You can add it to the panel, but on opening it it shows just the 'Places' & 'System' components, and complains "Failed to load extension: applications" and the trace-back as described above.

Hi bug reporter and hi assignee and others involved,

Please reopen this bug report if it is still valid for Mageia 8 or 9(cauldron), and change "Version:" in the upper left of this report accordingly.

This report is being closed as OLD because it was filed against Mageia 7, for which support ended on June 30th 2021.

Thanks,
Marja
