firefox-ext-mozvoikko-1.10.0-1.1.mga1 has been submitted to mga1 core/updates_testing. Suggested advisory: ============== Firefox Mozvoikko extension for Finnish spell-checking was present in Mandriva 2010.1 but missing from the Mageia 1 release. This update adds that package as firefox-ext-mozvoikko. ============== Testcase: 1. Install the package and go to e.g. pastebin.com (any page with textarea will do). 2. Write/copypaste "Tämä on tseti." into the text field. 3. Right-click on the textarea and check that "Check spelling" is enabled and 'Languages' => 'Finnish / Finland' is selected. What should happen if testcase ok: "tseti" should be underlined as a typo, and right-clicking should suggest the correct spelling "testi". Please test and approve.
Seems to be present in amo: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/finnish-spellchecker/ Anssi, i really hope to see you keeping it up-to-date at time when we get new releases of Firefox :/

The amo version isn't compatible with firefox 5 or 6 ATM, and won't use system libraries (though the latter probably doesn't matter for end-users).
During install, it pulls voikko-fi from Core Release. If someone who converted from Mandriva still has the mdv voikko-fi plugin as it was required by the mdv firefox-ext-mozvoikko package, this update will fail in mgaapplet. Hence adding bug 2317 as a blocker. The testcase works on my i586 system. The srpm is firefox-ext-mozvoikko-1.10.0-1.1.mga1.src.rpm

How will it fail, exactly? If someone still has the mdv voikko-fi for some reason (why?), this update will install fine as the mdv voikko-fi pkg will satisfy the dependencies of firefox-ext-mozvoikko.

Doesn't it require the mga version? Anyways, firefox-ext-mozvoikko was uninstalled by the update to firefox 6.0.2, due to a requires on 6.0.1, so it needs an update to allow 6.0.2.
It doesn't need specifically the mga version. Rebuild for 6.0.2 has been submitted as 1.10.0-1.2.mga1, no changes.

Removing the depends on bug 2317, since it doesn't require the mga version.
Testing of the srpm firefox-ext-mozvoikko-1.10.0-1.2.mga1.src.rpm complete on i586, using the test case in the initial report. Has x86-64 been tested?
