Description Jose Manuel López 2019-11-21 16:42:49 CET
Description of problem: I insert a comment in cell of Calc. After, when I go with mouse to cell, the comment doesn't appear automatically. I have reported the bug to bugzilla Libreoffice (https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128934). The Libreoffice version 6.2.3.2 is outdated practically, and them have recomend me that shold update to version 6.3.3 because in this version the bug is fixed.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 7 and Libreoffice 6.2.3.2

How reproducible: Open Calc and insert a comment in a cell.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Calc and insert a comment in a cell.
2. After, go with mouse to cell.
3. The comment no appear automatically now.

Thank you Jose for your comments.

The complaint is true, if trivial in that the cell shows a comment indicator (red square), and right-clicking the cell offers show, edit, delete the note.
But the book says:
"The comment is visible whenever the mouse pointer is over the cell"
which indeed does not happen.
The point about updating LibreOffice is valid, and not just because it would resolve this bug.

Assigning to the LO maintainer.

6.3.x is "Fresh" whereas 6.2.x is "Still" (more stable)
I'm not against upgrading to 6.3 but we usually update for security & big fixes, so mga7 will remains on 6.2.x for now.
We can update to latest 6.2.x though...

I can't try if in this version (6.2.8) the bug is fixed. I can't run the official package in Mageia 7 Plasma, no works fine, no boot it after installation.

Anybody can try in other desktop environment?

Thanks and greetings!!

I tested version 6.2.8, downloaded from libreoffice website, under LXDE in a Mageia 7 32bits VM and I saw that the problem is solved in that version.

Best regards,

Nico.
