Suggested Advisory ================== This update stops dnf-makecache from running during an on-line upgrade. This will prevent the upgrade failure seen by some users (mga#25072). SRPMs ===== mgaonline-3.24.2-1.mga6.src.rpm RPMs ==== mgaonline-3.24.2-1.mga6.noarch.rpm Test Procedure ============== If dnf has never been used on the test system, first ensure the dnf package is installed, then, as root, run dnf makecache systemctl restart dnf-makecache.timer As root, run systemctl status dnf-makecache.timer This should show the timer is active. Then, as the logged-in user, run killall mgaapplet mgaapplet --testing After a short delay, you should be informed that an upgrade is available. Start the upgrade. As soon as the upgrade begins, as root in another terminal, run systemctl status dnf-makecache.timer which should report the timer is now inactive. Repeat after the upgrade completes (but before rebooting) to check it is still inactive. After reboot, the timer should be active again.
Confirmed the dnf-makecache.timer is disabled during the duration of the upgrade and restarted after reboot. Advisory committed to svn. Validating the update. Zero conflicts or other problems encountered during the upgrade.
