When I invoke the KDE logout dialogue I get some screen distortions and a widely irresponsive keyboard not allowing VT-switches. The SysRq keys seem the only escape. That even though I have selected XRENDER instead of GLX for kwin. Even Xfce which does not require GLX makes problems and hangs. Moreover I get a system hang when switching the theme with IceWm. read more at the following lately apparently unattended report: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112185 grahics card: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G96GLM [Quadro FX 770M] (rev a1
Your other bug which you reference above has plenty of diagnostic information. No need to repeat it here. Can ypu say how long this problem has existed for you? - since you installed or upgraded to Mageia 7? - following a recent update? Also, it seems you are using Nouveau; have you tried the appropriate nVidia driver?

The bug has been here since the installation of Mageia 7. I do not know exactly what was before but there were problems with GLX, KDE and this graphics card before but not with XRENDER and Xfce. The GLX problems under KDE seem somehow mitigated recently but not yet resolved. I can test the proprietary driver in the coming days.
