Description Elmar Stellnberger 2019-11-14 13:15:43 CET
When I invoke the KDE logout dialogue I get some screen distortions and a widely irresponsive keyboard not allowing VT-switches. The SysRq keys seem the only escape. That even though I have selected XRENDER instead of GLX for kwin. Even Xfce which does not require GLX makes problems and hangs. Moreover I get a system hang when switching the theme with IceWm.

Your other bug which you reference above has plenty of diagnostic information. No need to repeat it here.

Can ypu say how long this problem has existed for you?
- since you installed or upgraded to Mageia 7?
- following a recent update?

Also, it seems you are using Nouveau; have you tried the appropriate nVidia driver?

Comment 2 Elmar Stellnberger 2019-11-18 16:36:49 CET
The bug has been here since the installation of Mageia 7. I do not know exactly what was before but there were problems with GLX, KDE and this graphics card before but not with XRENDER and Xfce. The GLX problems under KDE seem somehow mitigated recently but not yet resolved. I can test the proprietary driver in the coming days.

Bug is old. We think it has been fixed in one of the updates we have released for the reporter's distribution.

Users who have experienced this problem are encouraged to upgrade to the latest update of their distribution, and if this issue turns out to still be reproducible in the latest update, please reopen this bug with additional information.
