I've finally solved the problem by successively achieving the three commands: 1) dnf remove kicad removed the 4 pkgs kicad-5.1.2 2) dnf --refresh upgrade didn't take into account the upgrading of kicad 3) dnf install kicad installed the 4 pkgs kicad-5.1.4
Thank you for your initiative in beating the problem. I was going to suggest this sort of thing, particularly doing the update excluding (but not removing) kicad*; and then updating just those packages. Or letting the routine system updates do the job rather than using urpmi --auto-update , and see whether the same thing happened. As you have resolved the actual problem, we can close the bug. (You can do this yourself). If something similar recurs, please re-open it.
