Do we, or do we not, have a way to mount an AWS S3 bucket? Best documentation I can find is here: https://cloud.netapp.com/blog/amazon-s3-as-a-file-system We do install FUSE by default but s3fs-fuse is nowhere to be found. Or at least I can’t find it. Aside from this issue what is the preferred Mageia rpm to mount a directory/partition/”bucket” that’s in the Cloud? Thanks
Hello Bill This looks like a request for a new package, so I am changing it accordingly. It certainly exists for some other distributions. The reference you cite is very useful. Also e.g. https://github.com/s3fs-fuse/s3fs-fuse > what is the preferred Mageia rpm to mount a directory/partition/”bucket” > that’s in the Cloud? Looks appropriate for qa-discuss or a forum; although somebody might answer here. Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.
