Thank you Morgan for this information.
Since our current release is kicad-5.1.2, it is for the packager to judge whether this update is possible within Mageia version policy.

Assignment to the registered 'kicad' maintainer NicolasL already done...

Many thanks David!

Testing 64 bit:
Installed 5.1.2. tested it boots, closed.
Install upgraded to 5.1.4 no problem. (except it transiently needed space for both versions of the HUGE libraries so i ended up uninstalling the old before installing the new, as my / was too small)

Testing: I am a fresh newbie on KiCad, coming from Eagle... here i go:
Started it, verified version and that various tools start.
Made a new project from template: OK
Launched board editor -> popup asking if i want to enable hardware graphics boost, answered yes, and i see not problem.
(Nvidia-curent driver is installed, Plasma is using OpenGL 3)
Also schema editor works: added a IC, connected it, assigned package, and in PCB editor pressed "Update PCB from schematic", works OK. Moved and routed component. DRC check OK, Generated Gerber files, used the in built gerber viewer and the result looks OK.

Giving it OK and validating.

(Comment: Swedish translation is partial, i presume that it is original and no packaging problem)
