Sorry about this mess.

There are still problems being worked at - See warning at https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_7_Errata#Upgrade_issues and the referenced tracker bug have links to specific bugs.

Your best bet is to follow the advice there to boot using the network installer and choose to upgrade, using a good internet connection, and i think it can fix and upgrade. If not, please post on forum and we will help you.

An alternative is to do a fresh install of mga7 while keeping /home.

Hello,
Can you provide extract from the the journal for the time of the upgrade?
Can you also provide the result of the command
df
to see which space is remaining?
It is better not to reboot.
You can try relaunch the update command.
If you get again core dumped, rebuild the rpm database:
rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db*
rpm --rebuilddb
and try again.

Comment 3 Morgan Leijström 2019-10-06 18:00:35 CEST
Yes i forgot it could be space full too.
Comment 4 laurent murphy91 2019-10-06 19:23:34 CEST
Rebuilding the database allow to upgrade to mga7 ! Thanks.
I have 68 Gb free space.
But I have issue with the X server. Running drakx11 and systemctl default only
gave me text reboot. (EE) module ABI major verson (8) doesn't match server version (10).
I have 3 GPUs and the xorg.conf is only using the nvidia driver for one card.
After two hours of test, I finally download the nvidia driver and install it.
It works now.

Happy to know that you managed the upgrade.
We are still interested to have the journal extract.
   journalctl -a --since="YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm" --until="YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm" > log.txt
where YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm is replaced by the day and time of respectively the start of upgrade and after the crash.
