Mageia 7, x86_64 Packages installed - warm reboot. Everything seems to be normal but cannot test wifi on this workstation. Trying laptop later.

Core i5-2500 (Sandy Bridge), 16GB RAM, integrated graphics, wired Internet. All four packages updated cleanly, using the qarepo tool. I don't believe any of my hardware is affected by the changes, but did a cold boot to check for a regression. Everything looks good on this hardware.
HP Probook 6550b, i3, 8GB RAM, Integrated Intel graphics, Intel wifi, 64-bit MGA7 Plasma system. Using the qarepo tool, updated glibc and these firmware packages at the same time. All packages installed cleanly, with glibc presented as a priority update. Again, I don't believe this hardware is on the affected list, but I did a cold boot to check for regressions, finding none. Looks good on this hardware.

I'll need to get out my USB wifi card and see if it works now. On ethernet connected ath x3-450 desktop it is working. $ uname -a Linux linux.local 5.3.2-desktop-1.mga7 #1 SMP Wed Oct 2 05:37:47 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux The following 7 packages are going to be installed: - cpupower-5.3.2-1.mga7.x86_64 - kernel-desktop-5.3.2-1.mga7-1-1.mga7.x86_64 - kernel-desktop-devel-5.3.2-1.mga7-1-1.mga7.x86_64 - kernel-desktop-devel-latest-5.3.2-1.mga7.x86_64 - kernel-desktop-latest-5.3.2-1.mga7.x86_64 - kernel-firmware-nonfree-20190926-1.mga7.nonfree.noarch - kernel-userspace-headers-5.3.2-1.mga7.x86_64 System is working as designed.

Athlon X2, 8GB RAM, Nvidia340 graphics, Atheros wifi. This equipment is a several years old, and I don't see any of it on the list in the description. Packages installed cleanly. Upon rebooting, everything still works, including wifi. Also checked out two wifi usb dongles on the hardware of Comment 4. One is Realtec-based, the other Ralink-based. Both are at least three years old, and reither is listed in the description. Neither has been used with this hardware before, as this system has always been used with a wired Internet connection. Plugged each into a usb port in turn, and did a cold boot. First boot for each seemed over-long, while the system reconfigured itself for the new hardware. Once wpa supplicant was installed, I was able to establish a working Internet connection with each, with no problems. Second boot for each was back to normal duration. Looks OK for all this hardware.
on mga7-64 plasma kernel-desktop-5.2.16 packages installed cleanly: - iwlwifi-firmware-20190926-1.mga7.nonfree.noarch - kernel-firmware-nonfree-20190926-1.mga7.nonfree.noarch - ralink-firmware-20190926-1.mga7.nonfree.noarch - rtlwifi-firmware-20190926-1.mga7.nonfree.noarch no regressions observed - I don't have wifi on this system looks OK for mga7-64 on this system: Card: Intel HD Graphics 530 CPU: Quad core Intel Core i7-6700 (-HT-MCP-) Network: Intel Ethernet I219-LM driver: e1000e

MGA7-64 Plasmma on Lenovo B50 No installattion issues. This laptop has graphics Intel HD 5500 which uses module "Intel 810 or later" and Intel wifi 3160 which uses module iwlwifi. So at least the wifiis affected by this update. Did a cold reboot after installing and all is normal (LAN an internet access), graphics no visible change. looks OK.
