Description of problem: When laucnching the Bacula bat console (using the root shell prompt), it fails with the following : # /usr/sbin/bat -c /etc/bacula/bconsole.conf /usr/sbin/bat: error: `/usr/sbin/.libs/bat' does not exist This script is just a wrapper for bat. See the libtool documentation for more information. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): bacula-console-9.4.2-4.mga7 bacula-bat-9.4.2-4.mga7 lib64bacula7-9.4.2-4.mga7 How reproducible: It fails each time the same way ! Steps to Reproduce: 1. lauch Bacula bat : # /usr/sbin/bat -c /etc/bacula/bconsole.conf
Comments : 1) Seems related to Bug 24096 (from Cauldron). 2) I don't have `/usr/sbin/.libs/bat' or anything related on my filesystem. 3) Installing the "bacula-common" RPM did not solve the problem.
4) The bug is still reproducible with the Cauldron version: bacula-bat-9.4.4-1.mga8 bacula-console-9.4.4-1.mga8 lib64bacula7-9.4.4-1.mga8
Nicolas, you found the existing bug. The two seem identical: > /usr/sbin/.libs/bat executable is missing > /usr/sbin/bat: error: `/usr/sbin/.libs/bat' does not exist so please excuse... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 24096 ***
