Description of problem: After installing "virtual midi piano keyboard" the application launchen / start menu entry appears under "education" instead of "entertainment". Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): vmpk-0.6.2a-1.mga6.src.rpm How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install the package 2. Look where the menu entry appears 3.
In vmpk.desktop file there should be only one category: Categories=AudioVideo So I got it to work properly. BR, Markus
@Markus : Thank you for the report and diagnostic. > In vmpk.desktop file there should be only one category: Some applications put themselves in more than one sub-menu. This is OK. Was VMPK absent from the 'entertainment/Sound_Video' menu altogether, or did it appear there and also under 'education' - which would be legitimate ? I tried this on Mageia 7 Mate, and VMPK appeared in both 'Sound & Video' (what must be your 'entertainment') and 'Education' sub-menus, which is fine. @Rémi Assigning to you as the VMPK maintainer; note this is M6 only.

Hi, it was only in "education" ==> "others" ("Bildung" ==> "Sonstiges") and not in entertainment / VideoAudio.
Additional note: The above said is regarding xfce4. In Plasma there is VMPK in - "entertainment" ==> "others" (German: "Unterhaltung" ==> "Weitere"), and - "education" ("Bildung") So, there is obviously something in the desktop file that is confusing xfce4
Regarding comment 2: > @Rémi > Assigning to you as the VMPK maintainer; note this is M6 only. No, it's not only MGA6. At least, when working with xfce this also occurs in MGA7. There is something in the desktop file which xfce cannot handle properly
