This should also fix bug 12453 "Mouse wheel scrolling does not work in apps embedded in MCC under XFCE" in fresh installs. 'Raise windows when any mouse button is pressed' is now disabled by default in Xfwm4.
Comment 3 Chris B 2019-08-22 07:45:34 CEST
Installed from updates_testing, in an xfce4 only virtualbox system.
Works fine. 64bit.
Comment 4 Jani Välimaa 2019-08-22 08:37:26 CEST
I would also like to know how a fresh install plus post install updates works, but I don't know if it's possible to install packages from updates_testing via installer.

Comment 6 Chris B 2019-08-22 10:36:35 CEST
Fresh install in vbox 64b, netinstall 7.1 iso. It is not possible to add updates_testing. So, I tried a workaround.
All DE's de-selected, install with X and urpmi. That installed icewm only with xdm, and all updated packages from the regular update media. Rebooted, added updates_testing. Then "urpmi task-xfce", which installed 329 packages, the 4.14.x and the rest dependencies, from updates_testing, core and core updates.
In MCC changed the DM to lightdm, rebooted.
Everything works, did some basic basic tests.

Looks good. No issues so far.

xfburn segfaults

This was on a simple file add to do a CD burn.

Is there a new version of xfburn needed.

xfburn wasn't part of this update. IIRC the same happened during the mga7 dev cycle, but it was hard to reproduce more than once or sometimes even once.
Comment 10 Brian Rockwell 2019-08-22 17:34:31 CEST
Hmm - happening every time for me now.

I tried running it both as regular user and as root. Both cases it is segfaulting. Can you try relinking it and dropping it out there in test?
Comment 11 Brian Rockwell 2019-08-22 20:40:24 CEST
I am taking the feedback marker off so others will test. Noted in comment 9, https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25328#c9, this was not modified as part of Xfce 4.14.

I would like to see xfburn fixed or replaced by Brassero though.

The rest of the utilities I have used are working as designed. I think 4.14 is clean.

mga7, x86_64

Installed all missing packages before updating.
Ran the updates and logged out and in OK.

Checked some desktop functions and tried some of the applications in the update list like gigolo, parole, ....

Everything working, so OK for 64bits here.

Both xfburn and brasero are installed already.

There's a separate bug 24654 for xfburn.

I hope I installed all XFCE updates, it would be good to have versioned requires in task-xfce so that it automagically upgrades all XFCE.

It all worked fine. Xfce 4.14 seems complete to me. Is anyone else going to test 64-bit?
