Could you, please, be more specific and tell at least which desktop environment and window manager you're using?

Plus some details about the machine.

And what you did before the issues started. Did you apply updates?

Oh! Very sorry. I didn't see I actually posted this bug. I intended to take time to get more specific informations.

This happens on KDE 5 w/ SDDM. Window decorators aren't displayed so I can't move/resize/close windows nor can I switch between them by clicking on the task bar or using alt/tab.

No specific error showing in journalctl -xe.

@Augier
You did not answer all Jani's questions. Please:
- Say something of your hardware, especially the graphics element.
- Say what window manager you are using, if you know.
- When/how did this problem arise? Presumably things worked OK in the past. As Jani suggested, was it after a system update? Can you say what date?
TIA

@lewissmith

Ok. So, about the circumstances, it happened just after a reboot. Nothing fundamentaly changed. No update before the reboot. No update solved the problem after it appeared on wednesday the 14th of august.

The problem now disappeared (20th) after the computer was off for 2 days.

The graphic card is an Intel chipset (810 and later). Processor is i7-3632QM CPU @ 2.20GHz. Window manager is KDE's, Plasma 5.12.2 with Brise decoration.

Priority: Normal => High
Severity: normal => critical
