Description Frank Griffin 2019-07-20 19:47:53 CEST
Quite puzzling. I have two cauldron systemsrunning current cauldron from the same local mirror, fully updated. One system relays mail to GMail just fine, and the other fails with a segfault during authentication. I will attach the debug log entries.

Searching in Google found the following: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=910906 . According to this, the problem is an incompatibility between cyrus-sasl/libsasl2 and GMail. One of the comments, dated February 2019, says that it is fixed in the latest unstable versions. However, the latest date on any of our packages is January 2019.

This problem was happening before the freeze of MGA7, so it's probably in 7 and 6 as well.

Thank you for the reference, Frank; which says "I tracked the problem down to the libsasl2-2 and libsasl2-modules".
I can find no Mageia 7 pkg lib[64]sasl2[-2], but cyrus-sasl is with shlomi, so assigning to you.
[Postfix is with dlucio if you think it is really his baby].

Re-assigning globally due to change to no specific maintainer.
