Hello Ben. Thanks for all the info, but..
Some basic questions to put this into context; I am sorry they are tedious, but knowing your QA work...

* Have you installed Mageia on this box previously, with working sound?
* Does it happen with (a) different desktop(s) from the Classic ISO?
* Does it happen with the Plasma Live?

box is new to me (for QA testing with eMMC devices), so no.

> * Does it happen with (a) different desktop(s) from the Classic ISO?

will be trying those today

> * Does it happen with the Plasma Live?

will be trying those today as well, given time.

issue occurs with LXDE from Mga7.1 CI
Comment 10 Ben McMonagle 2019-07-17 05:26:31 CEST
(FWIW live Mint 19.1 is the same)

yes
Comment 12 Lewis Smith 2019-07-19 21:24:29 CEST
Thanks Ben for all those tests. It looks like a basic hardware issue rather than a Plasma one, so assigning accordingly.
