Thanks for figuring that out :-)

@ neoclust

Since you were the only one to touch this package: Do you want to obsolete it, or do you have hopes that upstream will soon (enough) come with a php7 compatible version?

Hi,

I think we need to add it in the erratas, to prevent those using pmb to upgrade to Mageia 7.
Is there a possibility to prevent the upgrade in Mageia 7 if pmb is installed ?
Or to display a warning ?
The upstream migration is a work in progress, but there is no deadline.

Cheers

i have just tested the nightly build, and this one is running well.
Perhaps, this automn, the new version will become available.
Comment 5 Marc Krämer 2021-01-09 12:00:02 CET
1. do we have a new version?
2. can we change the package description: "Description :
PMB: Free sigb" - ??? what exactly is pmb?!

Did they stop development? Php 8 has already arrived.

Comment 6 Nicolas Lécureuil 2021-01-09 16:21:38 CET
pmb is a software to handle libraries inventory ( books inside etc. )

Development is not stopped at all, the php8 port is in progress in there repository. I will update ASAP as an update.
Comment 7 Marc Krämer 2021-01-11 09:50:32 CET
ok good. Should/can we import any prerelease?
But the package description should be more detailed.
Comment 8 Nicolas Lécureuil 2021-01-11 09:52:21 CET
i will enhance the description and see if we can provide a preversion :)
Comment 9 Aurelien Oudelet 2021-07-06 13:16:48 CEST
Mageia 7 is EOL since July 1st 2021.
There will not have any further bugfix for this release.

You are encouraged to upgrade to Mageia 8 as soon as possible.

@reporter, if this bug still apply with Mageia 8, please let us know it.

@packager, if you work on the Mageia 7 version of your package, please check the Mageia 8 package if issue is also present. In this case, please fix the Mageia 8 version instead.

This bug report will be closed OLD if there is no further notice within 1st September 2021.

Hi bug reporter and hi assignee and others involved,

Please reopen this bug report if it is still valid for Mageia 8 or 9(cauldron), and change "Version:" in the upper left of this report accordingly.

This report is being closed as OLD because it was filed against Mageia 7, for which support ended on June 30th 2021.

Thanks,
Marja
