Description of problem: I had an issue in Mandriva that showed when you install & choose which DE to use. You usually choose either GNOME or KDE & no error during the installation of Gnome in my case, but as soon as you've added medias to update Gnome, you get KDE-deps as well. If you don't intend or want to use KDE, you shouldn't be forced to have deps from it & the other way around if you use KDE. It's all about choice. How reproducible: Everytime I've installed & updated the Gnome-session. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download the net-iso. 2. Boot the net-iso (in a Virtual Machine). 3. When you come to the part when you get to choose DE to use, choose Gnome. 4. Finish the installation. 5. Add supplemental medias if you wish. 6. Update using urpmi --auto-update --auto-select as root in Terminal/Console. 7. You should see that you get KDE-deps for Gnome. Suggestion: Normally separate them from eachother, but offer users to have it just the way it is if they want to. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
Priority: Normal => Low
AFAIK I think this was solved in Mandriva.
