mga6, x86_64 Intel Core i7-4790 (-HT-MCP-) GeForce GTX 970/PCIe/SSE2 - NVIDIA 390.87 32GB RAM Smooth reboot from the tmb kernel to desktop kernel with Mate. NFS share mounted already. Problems with bluetooth. Failed to connect to device and failed again after selecting another device. Restarting bluetooth hung. Rebooting from the cli resulted in three waits; stopping bluetooth jobs timed out and then the reboot hung completely. Had to force the reboot. This is an old story - the details vary but may have nothing to do with specific kernels. When bluetooth works it works perfectly but when it does not it seems to cause a lot of problems. Don't know how to quantify any of this so a bug report is not likely. After the reboot an external audio speaker connected immediately and worked fine but when the device was switched off the blueman applet remained active (green symbol instead of blue). 'systemctl status ...' confirmed this. Switched off bluetooth via the applet then on again. The applet reverted to blue. Switched on the device. Connection needed to be made using the applet but subsequently the device worked fine when switched on and off, without touching the applet. So the earlier hangups must have been caused by the fact that switching off a device and switching on another caused a clash. No other problems so far. TV adapter works. Common applications work and stress tests complete OK. VirtualBox OK, libreoffice writer opened a password-protected file OK.

x86_64 Linux 4.14.127-desktop-1.mga6 Intel Core i9-7900X GeForce GTX 1080 Ti - NVIDIA 390.87 Rebooted to the Mate desktop without issues. NFS shares already assigned and mounted. gkrellm up and running. Audio, video and TV all working fine. With all that going on the scheduler did a very good job with glmark2 which turned in an average of 21683 fps. Ran a stress test on 13 CPU cores at once, raising the temperature to 91°C from 45. Looks like this kernel is in good shape.
