Its is a clean install or a upgrade from mageia 6? I see spaninsh under Edit -> Preferences -> Interface (Editar -> Preferencias -> Interfaz) , and for a system configured with spanish as language, system and spanish should be the same, at less is for me

It is a clean install. I have tried in two different computers with clean install, in the regional preferences the preferred Spanish language. Then install with: urpmi audacity. I open the application and it appears in English, and in the language options I do not see Spanish. Installation of Mageia 7Rc Plasma Kde X86_64.

I have tried a clean installation in Virtualbox without removing any package and the same error still appears.
Is the file /usr/share/locale/es/LC_MESSAGES/audacity.mo installed on your system? If no you to add your lang "es" in "/etc/rpm/macros" file

The file is installed in the path /usr/share/locale/es/LC_MESSAGES/audacity.mo In the macros file appear: %_install_langs all But audacity no reconigze the spanish languaje
I tried a clean installation of Manjaro Plasma Kde in virtualbox and have the same bug. It can be problem of the package audacity?? All installations are X86_64.
Yes after installing this file manually I can confirm that Spanish language does not appear in the list!

The same with LC_MESSAGES=es.UTF8 audacity. This is why I tried to use the po file with another language. So the problem is that spanish is not listed in the languages, neither is selected automaticaly. The workaround is to edit manualy the audacity config file. I note this, the only languages listed are related to locales packages in my system rpm -qa|grep locales locales-2.29-3.mga7 locales-en-2.29-3.mga7 locales-es-2.29-3.mga7 And i only see system.english,español as options in preferences Could confirm yours ?
It appears to me: rpm -qa | grep locales locales-2.29-3.mga7 locales-es-2.29-3.mga7

I have the same bug in audacity 2.3.2 installed from testing repositories.
I have tried to change the audacity configuration file in /home/user/.audacity-data/. Search the line "Locale" and put "ES". Run audacity and appears in Spanish. But, It should be automatic during the installation of audacity

This bug has now been fixed upstream. The fix will be available in Audacity 2.3.3 when it is released. If anyone wants to patch the mageia version, the fix is here: https://github.com/audacity/audacity/commit/e9c8438d2da1 Thanks to Jose for reporting it upstream.

Hi! I've tried the new version from the testing repositories. Now Audacity appears in spanish. Tried in Mageia 7.1 Plasma x64, works fine. Thanks and greetings!

Confirmed here that now the Spanish language appears in the language choice list on my mga7 for x86_64.
