Description of problem: When I try to install fullrecall with drakrpm, I get the message : Sorry, the following package cannot be selected: - fullrecall-1.5.3-5.mga6.nonfree.noarch (due to unsatisfied libfontconfig.so.1) Then I look into the installed libraries : # find /usr/lib64 -name libfontconfig.so.1 /usr/lib64/libfontconfig.so.1 -> it seems to be installed ----------------------------- When I try to install fullrecall with urpmi, I get the message : # urpmi fullrecall A requested package cannot be installed: fullrecall-1.5.3-5.mga6.nonfree.noarch (due to unsatisfied libX11.so.6) What is surprising is that the unsatisfied library is not the same according to the used installer. Then I look into the installed libraries : # find /usr/lib64 -name libX11.so.6 /usr/lib64/libX11.so.6 -> it seems too to be installed Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. run drakrpm and install fullrecall or urpmi fullrecall 2. 3.
Looks like it requires 32bit libraries. Either it's mistakenly tagged as a noarch pkg or 32bit repos must be enabled on 64bit install.
(In reply to Jani Välimaa from comment #1) > Looks like it requires 32bit libraries. > > Either it's mistakenly tagged as a noarch pkg or 32bit repos must be enabled > on 64bit install. With a previous version, in 2012, first the 64-bit build was disabled because there was only a 32 bit binary. Later the package was marked noarch, so that it would install smoothly in 64bit systems. Maybe it is better to package it as 32bit again, instead of as noarch, and to tell users to enable the 32bit repos if they want to install it? There is no registered maintainer, so assigning to all packagers collectively.
