In the announcement of Mageia 7 on the distrowatch there was a promise to return the normal classic installer to a live iso image. I downloaded 7 beta 3 xfce and there wasn’t a normal installer! as I could not choose any password for the user, I still cannot, neither 2 nor 3 nor 6 nor even 8 characters work! in all normal distributions installation without problems and only you are engaged in garbage !!!!!! 2. How can I import a ready-made openvpn configuration file? As you can see on the mirrors, like here ftp://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pub/linux/Mageia/iso/cauldron/ we have: Mageia-7-beta3-i586.iso Mageia-7-beta3-Live-GNOME-x86_64.iso Mageia-7-beta3-Live-Plasma-x86_64.iso Mageia-7-beta3-Live-Xfce-i586.iso Mageia-7-beta3-Live-Xfce-x86_64.iso Mageia-7-beta3-x86_64.iso The four ISOs with "Live" in the name, do NOT have a classic installer. We're a community distribution. If you use Mageia then you're part of Mageia. Filing a bug report is good to help get rid of garbage. Giving more precise information is better. Please tell exactly what you did: Which Xfce Live iso did you use (32 or 64 bit) Did you dump it on a USB stick, burn it on DVD, or...? Did you use it on real hardware or in a virtual machine? Which entry you selected in the boot menu of the Live ISO Which language, whcch timezone, which keyboard did you select? etc. etc, If you do still have that installation and if you can boot into it, then please attach install.log and 1stboot.log to this bug report You can create those logs bug by running, as root: journalctl -ab 1 > install.log journalctl -ab 2 > 1stboot.log > 2.
