Summary: Systemfreze if create a new file in Krita => Systemfreeze if create a new file in Krita
Krita belongs to the "Graphical desktop/KDE", I guess Akien only ended up as its registered maintainer because he once freeze pushed it and that he'd like to hand registered maintainership over to (someone from) KDE team. Assigning to the KDE maintainers.

I can't seem to reproduce it on my system: $ inxi CPU: Quad Core Intel Core i7-8705G (-MT MCP-) speed/min/max: 1109/800/3100 MHz Kernel: 5.1.3-desktop-4.mga7 x86_64 Up: 41m Mem: 3852.0/15792.2 MiB (24.4%) Storage: 953.87 GiB (45.4% used) Procs: 270 Shell: bash 4.4.23 inxi: 3.0.33 (BTW which tool did you use to get this system info?) I pushed a krita-4.1.8-8.mga7 with a fix for a crash issue, but I don't think it's related to the one you're experiencing: https://invent.kde.org/kde/krita/commit/9347112a77b3b628af8c0b8d4d7cbc0929eede9e
Source RPM: krita => krita-4.1.8-7.mga7
I'd advise to report it upstream directly on bugs.kde.org within the "krita" product. KDE bugzilla's search seems broken for me though, I can't get a list of bugs in the "krita" product with the word "freeze" or "hang".
Hi. Krita 4.1.8-8 fixed the systemfreeze/crash. Thank you very much! It works *happy*

Dont know, but i use LXQt and the Krita Bug in Comment 2 says something with Qt Crash. Maybe this also "killed" the Desktop environment.
