In the welcome panel, application tab, it is proposed to install softwares, even from the "tainted" repository. But if you make this choice, for example task-audio (tainted) the activation of the tainted repository is not proposed, the installation simply does not work and does not return anything. The same applies to any application from tainted, if you have not voluntarily activated tainted media in drakrpm-edit-media. The warning regarding the panel media is not clear since one even if one has chosen to activate the media during installation, tainted is not. Either a warning should be added when attempting to install a tainted application, or the user should be asked if he/she wishes to activate tainted and if so, do so automatically.
I'm pretty sure this would not be necessary if people read slide #2 and actually followed the steps recommended by the software... However, I agree that a warning should inform the user that (s)he needs to go back to slide #2, read the information given there, and then try again to install anything from slide #6...

I am totally sure that people do not read what is not in front of them and even then, if it is not too long. Moreover, there is no reason to read slide 2 from the left before the fifth or sixth, it is precisely the principle of these screens presented as "cards" (it is even one of the effects of multimedia and IT on reading patterns... I think it's an inconsistency in the application panel and that the strength of IT is precisely that it "automatically" refers to the right information. But I agree that it's not a fundamental point, just a little finishing :)

Hello, I have activated the repositories (including tainted) but in the application tab this is not taken into account: it asks me to go back to the "software repositories" tab, even for "core" software repositories.
