After the installation and start of webmin on my local machine I open the url in firefox. https://localhost:10000/ Then I get the message about this url being insecure: ... Your connection is not secure The owner of localhost has configured their web site improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this web site. localhost:10000 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed. The certificate is only valid for . Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_SELF_SIGNED_CERT ... Then I click to add this exception. However the exception dialog does not show up. I get an XML error message instead: XML Parsing Error: undefined entity Location: chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul Line Number 10, Column 1:<dialog id="exceptiondialog" ^ I cannot continue with webmin.
When I paste chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul into the FF addressbar (in cauldron), the exception dialog opens fine. However, I don't have webmin installed. Do you already get that error when you go to chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul or only after entering https://localhost:10000/ in the location field of that page and clicking on "Get Certificate", or ..? The problem might be in Webmin instead of in Firefox. Anyway, assigning to all packagers collectively, because neither FF nor webmin have a registered maintainer.

If I paste chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul into a browser tab url of firefox, then the dialog shows up without a problem. However it created an error within the webpage of webmin. --------------------- You are about to modify how Firefox identifies this site. Legitimate banks, stores, and other public sites will not ask you to do this. Location: https:// Permanently store this exception O ´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´
Hi. Are you using a downloaded version of Firefox? If so, please uninstall the firefox rpm and try again. Cheers, Stig
Reporter, could you please reply to the previous question? If you don't reply within two weeks from now, I will have to close this bug as OLD. Thank you.
