Description of problem: The X server crashes after switching from the screen at Ctrl+Alt+F7 directly to it. Since I'm used for the X being at C-A-F7 instead of C-A-F8, I sometimes go there and to the X server and so get a crash. I'm getting this in the Xorg.1.log: [ 45828.031] (II) AIGLX: Suspending AIGLX clients for VT switch [ 45833.045] (II) Open ACPI successful (/var/run/acpid.socket) [ 45833.045] (II) AIGLX: Resuming AIGLX clients after VT switch [ 45833.045] Unable to retrieve master [ 45833.045] (EE) RADEON(0): failed to set mode: Permission denied Backtrace: [ 45833.045] 0: /etc/X11/X (xorg_backtrace+0x28) [0x45d678] [ 45833.045] 1: /etc/X11/X (0x400000+0x61d09) [0x461d09] [ 45833.045] 2: /lib64/libpthread.so.0 (0x7f7140b36000+0xf300) [0x7f7140b45300] [ 45833.045] 3: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers/radeon_drv.so (0x7f713d9de000+0xdea71) [0x7f713dabca71] [ 45833.045] 4: /etc/X11/X (xf86ProbeOutputModes+0x113) [0x488be3] [ 45833.045] 5: /etc/X11/X (0x400000+0x903d4) [0x4903d4] [ 45833.046] 6: /etc/X11/X (RRGetInfo+0x8f) [0x4c4b7f] [ 45833.046] 7: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so (0x7f713e719000+0x442ec) [0x7f713e75d2ec] [ 45833.046] 8: /etc/X11/X (xf86Wakeup+0x3d8) [0x46bc48] [ 45833.046] 9: /etc/X11/X (WakeupHandler+0x4b) [0x431c7b] [ 45833.046] 10: /etc/X11/X (WaitForSomething+0x1bc) [0x45b0ac] [ 45833.046] 11: /etc/X11/X (0x400000+0x2d8d2) [0x42d8d2] [ 45833.046] 12: /etc/X11/X (0x400000+0x218ee) [0x4218ee] [ 45833.046] 13: /lib64/libc.so.6 (__libc_start_main+0xfd) [0x7f713fa97c3d] [ 45833.046] 14: /etc/X11/X (0x400000+0x21499) [0x421499] [ 45833.046] Segmentation fault at address 0x10 [ 45833.046] Fatal server error: [ 45833.046] Caught signal 11 (Segmentation fault).
