Description of problem: Mageia 7 installed from Live XFCE (64bits) System up-to-date $ rpm -qa | grep mscore mscore-3.0.2-1.mga7 mscore-fonts-3.0.2-1.mga7 $ rpm -qa | grep xfce4-session xfce4-session-4.13.1-5.mga7 When opening Musescore, the "welcome" screen is empty, whereas it should be showing a + square to "Create a new score". This bug has not been observed with the same version of Musescore running on KDE Plasma, so I suppose it is XFCE-specific. Not yet tested on Gnome and other DE.

Yeah I saw the same on Plasma. Did not have time to investigate yet, the rest of the app seems functional though.
Oh yes, I didn't pay attention to it when I was testing it under Plasma, sorry! Editing the title, then! And yes: the app seems functional, which is the most important :-) The AppImage doesn't show this bug, however.
Summary: MuseScore 3.0.2 welcome screen is empty with XFCE desktop => MuseScore 3.0.2 welcome screen is empty
What it is supposed to display? can you attach a screenshot, please?

Created attachment 10787 [details] MuseScore 3.0.2 showing the expected welcome screen Sorry about the French screenshot. Basically, this is what I get from the AppImage. There is a problem on their part about the right side of the screen, which shows something should be retrieved from a webpage and displayed on the right. On the left, you can see the big square I mentionned earlier with the "+" sign in the middle, and the caption says "Create a new score". After you've created a new score, it will be accessible from here, as a quick access welcome panel.
Empty Start Center window should be fixed in next mscore-3.0.2-2.mga7 update!

So ok! should really fixed now with next mscore-3.0.2-3.mga7 update!
Ok! I just tested mscore-3.0.2-3 (with XFCE) and the Start Center window is now correctly displayed. Congratulations for that amazingly quick bug fix!
