Description JanKusanagi 2019-02-24 21:55:32 CET
I've been testing Mageia-7-beta2-Live-Plasma-x86_64, and while the updated MageiaWelcome is very nice, I've found that a couple of things don't make much sense while in "live mode".

- First, while on the page 1 (Welcome), it says "... help you with the configuration of your newly installed system.", which is not installed, at that point. It's misleading.

Additionally, on this page it says "Welcome to Mageia, $USERNAME", and USERNAME happens to be "live" while on a live system, so "Welcome to Mageia, live" sounds really weird.

- Second, on page 7 (Your configuration), it states "You have completed the installation of Mageia 7", which again, is not true at all =)

I'll attach screenshots.

I think the mageiawelcome binary could have some sort of "--live-mode" parameter, and when used, certain strings could be hidden or changed to something else. For instance, the "Welcome to Mageia" on the first page, could just end there, without the ", live" part. Mentions to installation being completed could just be removed.

Also, not sure this merits a bug report of its own, but this could use a couple of arrow buttons, one on each side, to go to the previous and next section, besides being able to click their "tabs" directly. People do like the "previous/next" flow.

Cheers!

Release 2.02 includes now a "Live" mode, which should solve the mentioned issues. Please review the Mageia-8-beta1 ISO images.
