Summary: Please backport hplip to mageia 6 => Please update hplip in mageia 6
Component: Backports => RPM Packages
Check that the new version doesn't drop support for any old devices (IIRC, this has happened in the past). If it does, I think it has to be a backport.

MGA6-32 MATE on IBM Thinkpad R50e No installation issues Removed HP OfficeJet Pro 8100 using HP Device Manager and installed it again with MCC and checked again with HP Device Manager. All seems OK. I don't have an HP scanner, so for me good to go.

MGA6-32 Xfce on real hardware, core2Duo, 8GB, Intel graphics. HP hardware: Officejet 6110, Deskjet 5650. The Deskjet has the duplexer attachment. Age of printer hardware, 2002 and 2003, respectively. No installation issues. Removed and re-installed each printer, with no issues. Scanned an image with the Officejet scanner, then printed same on each printer. Also printed a spreadsheet from Libreoffice on the Deskjet, using the black cartridge only, and the duplexer. No issues. FWIW, I have also been using hplip 3.19.1 in Mageia 7 Cauldron for some time, with no issues. OKing this, and validating.
