Should be fixed in next libprojectm-3.1.0-2.mga7 update!
Looked out of curiosity. M7 Classic beta2.2 end Jan 2019, x64, all 6 desktops. Under Gnome (doubt it matters). Followed Alan's instructions (any audio file will do), and only a connoisseur would notice 'weak sauce visual'. The console output was indeed repeated, and much more & worse than Alan said. clementine-1.3.1-10.git20190118.1.mga7 $ rpm -qa | grep projectm libprojectm-data-3.1.0-1.mga7 lib64projectm2-3.1.0-1.mga7 ------------------------------------------------------ Just done a system update: lib64projectm2-3.1.0-2.mga7 The visualisation was more coherent, but the console O/P became voluminous and ended: [PresetFactory] url is /usr/share/projectM/presets/Eo.S._Phat blah_blah.milk Segmentation fault (core dumped) I could attach the console O/P, but await Alan's experience with the update.

So what's about this bug? "No Textures Loaded from /usr/share/projectM/textures" is now fixed!
That is confirmed, the swirling eye-candy is back. Thank you David.
(In reply to David GEIGER from comment #3) > "No Textures Loaded from /usr/share/projectM/textures" is now fixed! (In reply to Alan Richter from comment #4) > That is confirmed, the swirling eye-candy is back. Thank you David. So despite my core dump (c2, another issue I am not persuing), am closing this.
