Description José Eduardo Martins 2019-01-12 22:19:22 CET
Description of problem:

I just updated from mga6 to mga7 (beta 1).

Now if I use old good xorg.conf with sisimedia module and msr module preloaded the system frozen (or keyboard frozen). Only long press in power boot, start recover in grub and change driver to vesa workaround the bug.

 ~]# uname -a
Linux arrudinha 4.19.14-desktop-1.mga7 #1 SMP Wed Jan 9 20:13:49 UTC 2019 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

~]# cat /etc/modprobe.preload
# /etc/modprobe.preload: kernel modules to load at boot time.

# This file should contain the names of kernel modules that are
# to be loaded at boot time, one per line. Comments begin with
# a `#', and everything on the line after them are ignored.
# this file is for module-init-tools (kernel 2.5 and above) ONLY
# for old kernel use /etc/modules

Somehow this entry seems the same as bug 24170. Did you open two identical, José, or is there a difference I'm not seeing?
