Description Brian Kimerer 2018-12-18 22:36:53 CET
Description of problem:

I am running a newly installed Mageia 7 Beta 1. When I attempt to change the icon in a .desktop file, Plasma crashes.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Mageia 7 Beta 1 - KDE Plasma 5.14.2 Distro: Mageia 7 mga7

Discussion on the forum in:

https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12581

How reproducible:

Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right click any Desktop shortcut and choose Properties from the context menu.
2. In the Properties dialog, click on the icon square.
3. The screen goes black, and then Plasma restarts, showing the desktop again.

This happens in all of my Desktop shortcuts. To reproduce, I right click any Desktop shortcut and choose Properties from the context menu. Then, in the Properties dialog, click on the icon square. Plasma appears to crash. This does not happen in my Mageia 6 installation on the same computer.

On Mageia 7 Beta 1, the screen goes black for a second and then the desktop is restored.

Below is my Mageia 7 platform information.
