Description Dieter Schütze 2018-12-14 23:28:17 CET
Description of problem:

bind-sdb will not work together with samba4 in Mageia 6
samba4 will not work with chrooted bind.

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install and configure samba4 as active directory with bind as nameserver
2. install and configure bind and bind-sdb
3. start bind
3. bind crash, because chroot will not find the samba configuration and the samba library for bind
Comment 1 Dieter Schütze 2018-12-14 23:29:19 CET

Comment 3 Guillaume Rousse 2019-01-27 12:04:16 CET
I recently reworked our bind package, adopting redhat package layout, precisely to fix this kind of non-trivial usages. Can you test again this issue with the new release (9.11.5.P1-5.mga7) ? I lack the proper expertise to do it myself.

Status: NEW => ASSIGNED
