Description of problem: Gnome Desktop has a 'Documents' application, which when clicked (from sidebar or the main 'menu'), spins a bit then dies. What is supposed to happen? Could it be that it starts in Systray, which is currently not there? I do not know the command to try from a console; or look for it with 'ps'. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): M7beta1 4 Dec 2018, Classic install with 5 desktops. How reproducible: Every attempt. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click the 'Documents' icon, see the non-result.
I have discovered the commands to launch these, and have lumped the two applications (Documents & Photos) together since the fault seems to be common. $ gnome-documents (org.gnome.Documents:7767): Gjs-WARNING **: 21:16:17.990: JS ERROR: Error indexing the getting started PDF: GLib.Error tracker-miner-manager-error-quark: Filesystem miner is not active (org.gnome.Documents:7767): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 21:16:18.238: Settings schema 'org.freedesktop.Tracker.Miner.Files' is not installed Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped) ----------------------------------- $ gnome-photos (org.gnome.Photos:7827): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 21:16:43.670: Settings schema 'org.freedesktop.Tracker.Miner.Files' is not installed Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)
