Description of problem: If you change system localization all your desktop items will disappear. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to Desktop items disappearing after changing system language(localization) Mageia icon > Tools > System Tools > Mageia Control Center > System > 'Manage localization for your system' 2.Change system language 3.Relogin 4. You will see window that default folders can be renamed, accept renaming. 5. Check that you desktop contain only two icons - 'Home' and Trash. ========= Yes, window that asking you about folders name change shows warning that folder content will not copied, but why? It is not comfortable for user that localization change clearing his desktop. From my point of view folders should be renamed with all content and user should have the same desktop items regardless of localization.

That would indeed be nice, but it takes someone to write the needed code. Assigning to the Mageia Tools maintainers and CC'ing the Perl stack maintainers
