Description Lewis Smith 2018-12-08 15:41:22 CET
Description of problem:
The Home desktop icon on LXDE does not show the home directory when double-clicked, but an 'executable' dialogue. Since Mageia 6, LXDE desktop has not offered, on right-clicking, to add file/directory shortcuts. If you succeed, by fiddling properties, in adding an icon that looks right, that behaves likewise -> Execute.
I believe that fiddling the desktop conf file can create a useful shortcut.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
As above (M6 also).

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Double-click the Home directory desktop icon.

Hi,

mageia-lxde-config-Default-0.6.4-6.mga7 should solve the issue (on new accounts) by providing a Home directory desktop entry that is no more of type "Executable" but "Link".

Best regards,

Nico.

 $ rpm -q mageia-lxde-config-Default
 mageia-lxde-config-Default-0.6.4-6.mga7
Using LXDE, I have just created a *new* user; and confirm that logging into it, the 'Home' desktop icon does indeed raise a PCmanFM window for the home directory.
Thanks Nicolas. Closing this 'fixed'.
