Description of problem: M7beta1 early Dec 2018, Classic ISO with 5 desktops. Launching Sound Recorder from the menu of any desktop leads to nothing. I cannot find the command to start it to see more from a console. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Unable to find the pkg name. How reproducible: Every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch 'Sound Recorder' from any menu.
Assuming this is about gnome-sound-recorder. I just installed it, and /usr/share/applications/org.gnome.SoundRecorder.desktop starts with: [Desktop Entry] Type=Application Name=Sound Recorder It doesn't start here, either and starting it from cli I get: [marja@localhost ~]$ gnome-sound-recorder (org.gnome.SoundRecorder:29057): Gjs-CRITICAL **: 11:58:57.511: JS ERROR: SyntaxError: missing ) after catch @ resource:///org/gnome/SoundRecorder/js/listview.js:114 Script /usr/bin/gnome-sound-recorder threw an exception [marja@localhost ~]$

Found the same as you, Marja, from the console; with M7beta1 Gnome Live ISO installed.
Should be fixed in gnome-sound-recorder-3.28.1-3.mga7!

(In reply to David GEIGER from comment #3) > Should be fixed in gnome-sound-recorder-3.28.1-3.mga7! Thank you David G. Have this now from system updates. The application *does* indeed now start, at least from LXDE. Assume likewise for all desktops, which I will try, unless I find otherwise. Mind you, it spits a lot of long errors like: $ gnome-sound-recorder (org.gnome.SoundRecorder:31468): Gjs-WARNING **: 20:32:49.461: Some code accessed the property xxx Closing fixed, will re-open if necessary.
