IfcOpenShell[1], open source ifc toolkit and geometry engine
This is a very useful for Building Information Modeling software like FreeCAD.
It relies on opencascade

Here is an Arch AUR pkgbuild[2] for reference.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

You might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager

FreeCAD is developing a groundswell grassroots community around BIM. 0.18_pre will be released with a more evolved BIM workbench.

No takers ?
FreeCAD 0.19 starting to learn heavily on IfcOpenShell especially after GSOC 2019. Please consider packaging, thanks!
