Description Kristoffer Grundström 2018-11-27 14:31:53 CET
Description of problem: I freshly installed Cauldron using the net install iso and at the stage to create a user after typing the root password I can't find a way to make sure that the locale setting in fact is in Swedish even though the installer itself looks to be in Swedish. I tried typing any of the three last letters in the alphabet as my last name contains the last letter ö, but it seems as the keyboard layout is in English when it shouldn't. I had to write and o instead. This is an installer issue only as I can use the Swedish keyboard layout in the system without having to change anything.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 18.6-1

How reproducible: On every installation so far.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot the installation of Cauldron.
2. Choose to install in Swedish.
3. At the stage of creating a user and password type any of the three last letters.

This also now happen by installing Mageia 6 on my laptop.

I choose Swedish as installer language and that's correct until I reach the installer summary and also when I login to Gnome shell for the first time, the keyboard is preset as en when it should be set to sv.

Your initial report is a duplicate of bug 23877. As for Mageia 6 / GNOME, I've seen that occur occasionally (also in Cinnamon). If you use the drop down menu on the top panel, you can select the correct layout. Don't know what causes that. For me it is a quite rare occurrence.

Let's close this as duplicate, then

I'd rather see a separate report (if it doesn't already exist) for that issue, because I don't know how to keep this report for it without causing confusion.
