As requested, I've packaged the qarepo tool and made it available for Mageia 6. This version includes the fix to prevent false positives when checking if any updates_testing media are enabled.

I used this to test Bug 23905, a VirtualBox update, on real 64-bit hardware, and in 64-bit and 32-bit VirtualBox guests. 

I changed the mirror to use the math.princeton mirror, used copy/paste to load the rpm list, "updated" the qa-testing repo both with and without the user being in the qarepo group. When the user was not in the qarepo group, he was prompted for the root password at the approprate time. 

This appears to work as designed. Validating.
