Description Zoltan Balaton 2018-11-24 12:03:14 CET
I've got these errors from sa-update.cron:

channel: could not find working mirror, channel failed
24-Nov-2018 05:50:27: SpamAssassin: Unknown error code 3 from sa-update

Searching for the error I've found:

https://community.nethserver.org/t/spamassasin-sa-update-finds-no-working-mirror-channel-failed/8359

Indeed, the URL in sought.conf says the same that it should not be used.

Assigning to all packagers collectively, since there is no registered maintainer for this package.

CC'ing two committers.

Fixed with spamassassin-3.4.2-1.6.mga6 uploading into updates_testing. I also fixed similarly the cauldron version.

Comment 3 PC LX 2018-12-01 20:12:15 CET
Installed and tested without issue.

System: Mageia 6, x86_64, kmail, Intel CPU.

Did some minimal testing with sa-update and kmail and seems to be working.

$ uname -a
Linux marte 4.14.78-desktop-1.mga6 #1 SMP Sun Oct 21 20:31:12 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
$ rpm -qa | grep spamassassin
spamassassin-3.4.2-1.6.mga6
spamassassin-rules-3.4.2-1.1.mga6
$ sa-update -v
Update finished, no fresh updates were available

Comment 4 Herman Viaene 2018-12-02 11:13:17 CET
MGA6-32 MATE on IBM Thinkpad R50e
No installation issues.
Had to run the sa-update as root:
# sa-update -v
Update available for channel updates.spamassassin.org: -1 -> 1847886
http: (curl) GET http://spamassassin.apache.org/updates/MIRRORED.BY, success
http: (curl) GET http://sa-update.razx.cloud/1847886.tar.gz, success
http: (curl) GET http://sa-update.razx.cloud/1847886.tar.gz.sha512, success
http: (curl) GET http://sa-update.razx.cloud/1847886.tar.gz.sha256, success
http: (curl) GET http://sa-update.razx.cloud/1847886.tar.gz.asc, success
Update was available, and was downloaded and installed successfully

Running as normal user as suggested in Comment 3 gives obvious errors:
$ sa-update -v
gpg: WARNING: unsafe ownership on homedir '/etc/mail/spamassassin/sa-update-keys'
gpg: failed to create temporary file '/etc/mail/spamassassin/sa-update-keys/.#lk0x088e3710.mach6.hviaene.thuis.16688': Toegang geweigerd : in English . Access denied. Of course!
Seems OK to me.
