After latest update both nmb.service and smb.service fail to start:

It looks like there are unsubstituted macros @....@ in service files:

Thanks for the report.

It was probably hard to find, because that bug report was originally about empty files, but James Kerr reported this, too, in bug #23796, comment #5

I think it is better to keep bug 23796 report for this new issue, because it is so closely related to the original issue in that report
