Description Richard Walker 2018-11-04 15:23:11 CET
Description of problem:
In MGA6 using the LXDE desktop and PCManFM file manager it is possible to double-click, or pick "Mount archive" option in the right-click menu for an archive file and have that file mounted for inspection of the archive contents.

In current fully updated Cauldron this option is no longer available. On inspection I found that the mount-archive.desktop file supplied in the gvfs-archive rpm for MGA6 is missing from MGA7. Copying the MGA6 file to /usr/share/applications in MGA7 does not fix the problem.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Boot up-to-date Cauldron to LXDE desktop

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open PCManFM to display directory containing some zip or tar.bz2 or other archive files.
2.Right-click on file and look for the Mount Archive option as first item in displayed list.
3.Give up.

Comment 1 Richard Walker 2018-12-03 01:22:20 CET
I am beginning to think this is less of a bug and more of a loss of functionality due to support being withdrawn for some reason. Either way, I doubt if it is something Mageia can fix so I will close it for now and seek enlightenment from the LXDE end of things.
