Description of problem: After reinstalling Mga6 around the end of September, I keep having logging out issues. I'm running Plasma5 and have two users setup on the machine. I use the Switch User feature alot. Since this new install after about 2+ days having the system on, when I log out one user, instead of returning to sddm login screen, the monitor goes blank and my only option is to hit the power button, nothing is working, I can't use the mouse/keyboard or switch to a console. I will noticed during this time, the hdd light is going for a bit then the screen blanks, the monitor light will be blue (active) then turn yellow (inactive). At this point I can't do anything else but hit the power button. I can't get to any tty or use the magic sysrq keys. At this time I do not have a way to ssh into the system. It seems to happen after the system has been running for a few days. I'm running a Dell Optiplex 760 Intel Desktop, 4gb ram, 250gb hdd. This is the same machine I've used in the past running Mageia, but not with sddm. I also run a couple of other distros and not having the logout issue. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): SDDM 0.14.0 How reproducible: Using Plasma & SDDM. Have a couple of different users sign into the system and use the Switch User feature, while leaving the system on all the time.

Just to give an update on what I've done. I'm on day 4 of using Mate DE with LXDM and so far do not have the system freezing. Switching Users and logging out, no issues at this point.
Mageia 6 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2019-09-30. It is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Mageia version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we weren't able to fix it before Mageia 6's end of life. If you are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. If you would like to help fixing bugs in the future, don't hesitate to join the packager team via our mentoring program [1] or join the teams that fit you most [2].
