Here is the source rpm from Rawhide: http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/development/29/Everything/source/SRPMS/t/telegram-desktop-1.4.3-1.fc29.src.rpm It contains 3 patches.

Sorry. I meant Fedora 29, not Rawhide. A bit tired today.

We already have get-telegram - isn't this enough? Telegram updates their app very often, it's easier for us if this app is updated automatically.

It still needs to be updated to 1.4.3 nevertheless.
It always downloads the latest Telegram from their homepage.
(In reply to Sander Lepik from comment #6) > It always downloads the latest Telegram from their homepage. Lets for the sake of it say that we have a new user and he/she looks for telegram-desktop in rpmdrake and gets no hit for that package name and there's no hint to search for get-telegram instead.' How would you solve that?

Like any problem a newby runs into: he can google for it. telegram site:mageia.org already shows the solution. Also, he can ask in the forums, on IRC, on a mailing list. Closing this request as wontfix, because we can't afford to add a package that needs to be updated all the time and get-telegram is a good alternative.
