I'm not sure that wanting new features in a new version is an acceptable reason for requesting an update in a stable release. Hello Barry. And thanks 4 support. I upgraded the package and it worked instantly. Joystick calibration in the old version definately did not fly and i was close to jumping out of the window. I plugged an old "wingman" controller, that worked, whereas a PS2 controller does not, which might be a different problem.
I would suggest querying the PS2 controller issue upstream (with the vice developers) to see if it is a known issue. Include details of your hardware and which emulator and version (3.1) you are using. Thanks Barry ! It somehow worked. The PS2 controller can not be hotplugged ( i tried many things out tough ), but that obviously was one problem. Link and greetings were attributed to the developers of vice.
