Description Dick Gevers 2018-09-21 11:28:36 CEST
Description of problem:

Install Mageia 6.1 from LiveDVD GNOME 64 bits dated 15 SEP 2018 and reboot.

Login to IceWM

See Mageiawelcome running and press button Bugzilla: our BZ site appears in Firefox.

Close FF and MW by means of the X in the upper right hand corners.

Both remain visible on screen though command "ps aux" shows that neither is running.

Will attach photo of desktop.

Reported as discussed on IRC; for suggested Errata

By the way, hardware is relatively new see:

Same with IceWM desktop after netinstall with all Graphical Environments.

(MW closes okay in other GE's)

Assigning to IceWM maintainer for further investigation, please reassign if IceWM isn't the culprit

This problem does not happen with the same settings inside vbox. What are your hardware specs?

My tests are always on real hw

Still valid for 7beta3. Since others do not see this I suspect IceWM does not like this HP machine / amdgpu. It has some other unusual quirks

Tried IceWM from M7B3 Round 3 Live Plasma install: same problem.

HOWEVER, tried IceWM Session: NO such problem !

Re-assigning globally due to change to no specific maintainer.
