Hi. When I adjust the volume rapidly I can hear a tiny static noise through my speakers. This also happened in MGA6 as far as I remember. I've this addon in Firefox that lets me adjust Youtube volmes with my mouse wheel and the ticking sound is there. It's also there when I use the volume slider in pnmixer. The noise happes in every audio application where I'm able to do it rapidly in, be it graphical or cli.

Do you also hear the ticking with other speakers or with a headphone?

I have absolutely no idea what to assign this bug report to :-( I don't know whether there's anything in this page that might help https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Support:DebuggingSoundProblems

Stig Do you still have this problem? From what you say, it is system-wide but only happens when you change volume *quickly*. I understand 'while the volume is changing', not subsequently. If you change volume gradually, does it happen?

I tried it just now, Firefox and a Youtube video, and there was no static or noise at all when I changed the volume rapidly. Cheers, Stig
So we can close it! Thanks. [You could have done]
