Description of problem: Running xfce4-appfinder since years via [ Alt +PF2 ] or from menu. It still starts okay and shows Commands History. But if a command from history is selected and launched the appfinder segfaults and the command does not execute. I will attach output of strace -f (doesn't tell me much, but I am sure you can find the cause ;)

Can't reproduce, but I added a patch to -2.mga7 from upstream to fix segfault. Please test if it also fixes your issue.
Thanks for trying, but no: the segfault remains.
Source RPM: xfce4-appfinder-4.13.1-1.mga7 => xfce4-appfinder-4.13.1-2.mga7
Could you get backtrace with gdb? And check if there's something in ~/.xsession-errors.
(In reply to Jani Välimaa from comment #5) > Could you get backtrace with gdb? Yes I could, if only I would know what commands I have to give: ATM I haven't a clue; sorry. I know from a few years back it may say stuff is missing from which i will then need the *devel packages.... And check if there's something in > ~/.xsession-errors. There is but from before the update to 4.12.1-2.mga7, no newer lines appears (Old ones for example say: ...Gtk-warning... Glib-Object-Warning etc. but since they do not show up now they seem obsolete )

Debug sources still missing files, but I saw this in dmesg (if it is any use): [ 111.667854] xfce4-appfinder[2771]: segfault at 30 ip 00007fed25cf35e6 sp 00007fff37277490 error 4 in libgtk-3.so.0.2200.30[7fed25a45000+333000] [ 111.667860] Code: e0 0f 8e f7 01 00 00 48 8b 74 24 08 44 89 e2 48 89 d9 48 89 ef e8 2a f0 ff ff 48 8b 7c 24 10 e8 e0 88 d5 ff 66 0f ef c0 31 f6 <48> 8b 78 30 0f 29 44 24 30 0f 29 44 24 40 0f 29 44 24 50 0f 29 44
Created attachment 10372 [details] what gdb shows on screen Okay got all the needed debug rpm's installed and ran gdb without real knowledge based on what i could find. Probably i miss stg to obtain more output but if so i need more instruction: i cannot do better on my own. What I did obtain from command gdb is attached for your perusal. I gave gdb commands "run", "bt" "break", "next" and "quit" please correct me if more can be obtained. Thanks for now.

Additional info: I have cauldron7/32 with xfce running in a VirtualBox. Just tested the above with - xfce4-appfinder-4.13.1-1.mga7 and then upgraded to - xfce4-appfinder-4.13.1-2.mga7 under two different users, existing and newly created, and there is no such crash
