Suggested Advisory ================== This updates the rpmsrate file to prevent the installer selecting the now-obsolete kppp and kppp-provider packages. kppp is no longer supported upstream, and so a new version was not provided in the big Plasma update. If these packages are selected during installation, their dependencies cause conflicts with the newer KDE packages, causing the installation to fail. This also updates the rpmsrate file to remove some long-gone packages. This merely eliminates some warning messages in the installer log file (see bug 23357), as these packages have never been available in Mageia 6, so can't be selected by the installer. RPMS ==== meta-task-6-3.2.mga6.noarch.rpm SRPMS ===== meta-task-6-3.2.mga6.src.rpm Test Procedure ============== This update modifies the /usr/share/meta-task/rpmsrate.raw file, but as far as I know this file is only used to generate the media/media_info/rpmsrate file contained in the repositories and used by the installer. So all I can suggest is that you check the package installs cleanly and there are no unexpected side effects. I have verified that it fixes the problem in the installer - the 6.1 Plasma Live ISO fails to build without this fix.
Installed without problems on x86_64. Other updates are fine afterwards.

Does this need any more testing?
I have this installed on several systems both 32 and 64 bit, with no regressions noted Looks good to go.
